Academic

The academic programme allows students to gain knowledge, skills and understanding of a wide range of curriculum subject areas. A strong academic education is a fundamental part of a student’s journey through our school as it provides a foundation for further study, as well as an understanding of key aspects of our daily lives.

A successful programme of academic study will enable us to:

• Build links between ideas, to see patterns and analyse
• Communicate ideas effectively, in different languages and across varying cultures
• Be creative and innovative in the ways that we interpret ideas and express ourselves
• Accept and face challenges with enthusiasm, even though it can result in failure at times
• Excel in a range of assessments, both within the school and in public examinations
• Develop our learning outside of the classroom and via extra-curricular activities.
